If you’re feeling a little nervous about your first bridal appointment, don’t worry! That’s totally normal. At Lisa’s Bridal, our goal is to make this experience easy, exciting, and most of all - fun. Whether you’re walking in with a vision or haven’t tried on a single gown yet, this guide will help you feel confident and ready to start your dress journey.
Step One: Book the Right Appointment
We offer bridal appointments (free!) Monday-Saturday (seasonal availability on Sundays) that are each an hour and a half long. This is the ideal appointment for first-time shoppers. You’ll receive the one-on-one attention of a professional bridal stylist who will walk you through the process, help you gather gowns to try, and guide you toward finding the perfect fit! You can bring up to five guests Monday-Friday and three guests on Saturdays.
What to Bring With You
Nude Undergarments
A strapless bra and seamless underwear are ideal. They help you feel comfortable while giving you the best sense of how a dress will fit and flatter.
Comfortable Shoes, But No Need For Heels
No need to bring heels—we have pedestals in-store that help brides get a great sense of length and height. We recommend wearing comfy shoes while shopping between stores.
Inspiration Photos
Whether it’s a Pinterest board, Instagram saves, or screenshots on your phone - your stylist will appreciate a visual sense of your taste.

This is where the magic happens. You’ll step into your private fitting area, and your stylist will help you in and out of each gown while offering suggestions and support.
4. Narrow It Down
As you go, you’ll naturally start gravitating toward certain silhouettes or details. By the end, you might have a few favorites - or even the one.
5. Say Yes (or Take Your Time!)
Don’t feel pressured to make a decision if you’re not ready. We’ll be here when you are. But if you do find “the one,” we’ll be ready to celebrate with you!
